Rules
Everyone who uses Seolmun follows these rules. Surveys that break them get closed or taken down.
Surveys you can't make
No asking for passwords, card numbers, card security codes, national ID or registration numbers, text-message verification codes or bank security cards. Text with those words is blocked when you save. No impersonating banks, companies or agencies, nothing illegal or harmful, and no ad spam.
Reports
There's a Report button under every answer screen. When 3 different reports come in, the answer screen closes until someone reviews it. We then reopen it or take it down. The creator can still see and delete responses while it's closed.
Daily limits
Each network can make 20 surveys a day and send 300 responses to any one survey a day. To count networks we turn the IP address into a value that only works for that day, and we don't store the address itself.
Response cap
Each survey takes up to 1,000 responses. After that, the answer screen closes.
Keeping and deleting
When a creator deletes a survey, it and its responses are gone right away. Otherwise they're deleted 365 days after the last edit or response. Surveys we take down are kept for a while in case of appeal, then deleted.
One response per browser
This leaves a marker on the device. People can answer again from another device or a private window, so don't use it where one person, one vote really matters.
Personality quizzes
Quiz statements and results are written by whoever made the quiz. They aren't a validated psychological assessment and aren't for diagnosis. Don't copy another test's questions.
Characters from other people's work
Dressing results up as characters from games, comics or books is the creator's call, and the creator has to follow that rights holder's fan content policy. There's no image upload, and we take a quiz down if the rights holder asks or reports pile up. Seolmun itself ships no templates based on other people's work.
What's on the creator
If responses include personal details, the creator is the one collecting them. Say what you collect, why and when you'll delete it in the survey description. Seolmun stores and shows responses as the creator asks and uses them for nothing else.
